Saratoga County SBA Honors WHUFSD Senior

Waterford-Halfmoon High School Senior Tess Gleason was honored by the Saratoga County School Boards Association as a recipient of their annual Community Service Award.
Tess was one of 12 students in the county to receive this year's award, which highlights the work each student completed to help make the communities they live in a better place.
Tess volunteered at Letter for Rose, a local organization created to help reduce loneliness among the elder population. She also spent time helping out at both the Grace Episcopal Church with their fundraising efforts and at Faith's Food Pantry. Tess is also a member of CATS, which stands for Cultivating Arts and Students Together. She has served as a volunteer at Proctor's Theater through the group, helping out in admissions, ushering, and concessions.
When she's not lending her services to local organizations, Tess is the Class of 2023 President and President of the National Honor Society. She is a HOBY Youth Leadership Representative, and tutors elementary school students along with summer school students.
