Announcements

Hello to all,
Early Tuesday morning, September 25th,  before school opened we had a water pipe break and flood portions of the high school auditorium lobby, music wing hallway, and high school main hallway.  Once the early morning bus drivers arrived, they immediately noticed the water flooding portions of the building. Our Director of Facilities and his custodial team were able to shut off the water.  It was obvious that school for the 7-12 students needed to be closed until the water break was repaired and the water cleaned up.  This will take some time throughout the day today.

Typically, we use a communication service to help us announce the school closings on the major television and radio networks.  This service did not work accurately this morning and the company is repairing the issue in preparation for any future closing announcements.  Fortunately, we were able to use our School Messenger system to notify parents via their cell phones.  The elementary school area was not affected and school can open for our K-6 students.

We will be able to have school for all students K-12 starting tomorrow, September 26th.

We certainly apologize for any inconvenience this caused our students and their families today and we appreciate your flexibility with the current situation.  Sporting events for after school will be able to be held today, weather permitting.

 Mr. Pomerville, Superintendent
