Opt-In to Receive Text Messages

Waterford-Halfmoon parents and guardians can now opt-in to receive text messages on their mobile devices. This is an easy and safe way to receive important information about school closings, delays, safety alerts, and events in a timely manner.
If your cell phone number is already in SchoolTool, you can sign up for this free SchoolMessenger service by texting "Y" or "Yes" to 67587.
On November 1, 2022, every parent and guardian in our district who has a cell phone number listed in SchoolTool will receive a text message from the district that will say:
"Waterford-Halfmoon Union Free School District Messages. Reply Y to confirm, HELP for information. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. schoolmessenger.com/tm"
If you would like to receive text messages, simply respond to that text with a "Y."
Please note: you can opt-out of receiving these messages at any time by replying with "Stop." SchoolMessenger is compliant with the Student Privacy Pledge, so your information is safe and will never be given or sold to anyone.
You will also be able to log into SchoolMessenger and set your notification preferences. For instance, if you prefer to receive a text at 5 a.m. with news of a snow day rather than a phone call, you can set those preferences in SchoolMessenger.
