INSTRUCTIONAL POSITIONS

  • Waterford Halfmoon Elementary School is looking to fill substitute teachers. Candidates may be either certified or uncertified. Positions include grades Pre-K through 6.

    • Uncertified Teacher: $105/day
    • Certified Teacher: $130/day

  • Waterford Halfmoon Elementary is looking to fill an anticipated long term leave, approximately January 26-February 13.

    • Bachelor’s Degree with New York State certification in Elementary Education N-6 or Childhood Education 1-6 preferred.
    • Ability to make a commitment to academic excellence.
    • Have an ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.

NON-INSTRUCTIONAL POSITIONS

  • Tutoring needed for a Kindergarten student on a temporary basis until an outside program can be found. The student is on the Autism spectrum and is non-verbal. Tutoring to be provided in person at a mutually agreed upon location.

    Special Education Teacher
    Start: As soon as possible
    Duration: Should be 15 hours per week- can discuss your availability
    Schedule: Arrange with the parent

    Speech Therapy
    Start date: As soon as possible
    Duration: 4x30 monthly (individual)
    Schedule: Arrange with the parent

    Occupational Therapy
    Start date: As soon as possible
    Duration: 3x30 monthly (individual)
    Schedule: Arrange with the parent

  • The Waterford-Halfmoon Elementary School is seeking two dedicated School Monitors to provide supervision in various locations. We invite qualified individuals who are passionate about fostering a supportive educational environment to apply for this rewarding opportunity.   

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Offer management, emotional support, and guidance to the students.
    • Provide redirection and encouragement in reinforcing the expectations during the school day.
    • Provide modeling for the use of coping strategies.
    • Maintain direct supervision of students throughout the school day.
    • Note: No reteaching of academic material will be required for this position

    This is a part-time, 10 month position, up to 3 hours per day. Pay and eligible benefits per the CSEA contract.

  • Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD is seeking a Bus Driver.

    • Minimum 4 hours per day 
    • Salary and benefits according to the CSEA contract.
    • Valid NYS CDL required

  • Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD is seeking a part-time food service worker to provide support in the cafeteria. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving students breakfast and lunch meals, preparing food according to the USDA standards for child nutrition and following all safety and sanitation regulations within the county and state. This is a ten-month position.
