Congratulations to seniors Ari Bishop and Carlos Clarkson, who have been selected to perform in this year's NYSSMA Zone 7 Area All-State Festival. They were chosen from hundreds of eligible students across the Capital Region.

Ari (trumpet) will perform in the Wind Ensemble, and Carlos (tenor) will perform in the Mixed Chorus. Over the next several weeks, they will learn advanced, college-level music selections before attending their first rehearsal at the festival. There, they will rehearse with other area students under the direction of world-class conductors and perform in a concert at the festival's conclusion.

The festival will take place at Proctors Theater in Schenectady in November.
