The Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD PTO is a parent-teacher organization focused on supporting and enriching the educational experience of students. It achieves this through fundraising, organizing events, and fostering communication between parents, teachers, and the school administration.
What the PTO does:
Funds educational and recreational activities
The PTO provides financial support for field trips, enrichment programs, and various school initiatives.
Organizes events
It hosts community events like the Monster Mash, Mother Son/Father Daughter events, and the annual PTO auction, as well as school-related events like the Scholastic Book Fair.
Supports specific programs
The PTO contributes to programs like the SPAC Dance Residency, Point Break, DARE, and the 4th Grade Art Project.
Provides compensation for school needs
Through fundraising, the PTO provides financial support for various school-related needs, including field trip busing, enrichment programs, and more.
Promotes communication and positive relationships
The PTO facilitates communication between parents, teachers, and the school administration, and works to build strong community relationships.
How to get involved
- Attend monthly PTO meetings: Meetings are held at the school library and are also available on Zoom.
- Volunteer for PTO events: Volunteering time and skills is a great way to support the PTO's efforts.
