STRATEGY
School Culture, Climate, and Safety

Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inviting school climate and culture through opportunities, initiatives, and character education programs that recognize the whole student and are designed to support the social, emotional, and mental wellness of our students.

Ensure robust and effective plans are fully developed and implemented for physical security, emergency preparedness and response, bullying and harassment prevention, and incident reporting.

Continue to enhance the overall quality, physical appearance, and efficiency of the district’s buildings and grounds to ensure a well-maintained and inviting school environment.

Academic Excellence and Driving Improvement
Ensure all students meet or exceed New York State learning standards through rigorous, engaging, and adaptive instruction.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive baseline profile of current school performance across key performance areas—including attendance, extracurricular activities, behavior management, Regents/State assessment performance, and graduation rates. Use this baseline to establish metrics and plans for regular reporting and continuous improvement, aligning key performance reporting and data collection to the academic calendar cycles.

Build and promote an athletic program that fosters participation, skill development, and sportsmanship by proactively ensuring that student athletes and coaches have the opportunities and tools to be successful.

Continually assess and create diverse pathways to graduation that meet varied student needs and professional development to maximize student success in post-graduation schooling, as well as immediate entrance to the workplace.

Responsible Fiscal Management
Continue to strengthen the district’s financial standing by developing and implementing a comprehensive long-term financial plan, which includes the responsible management of the district’s capital replacement needs.

Engage community members, parents, and other stakeholders in developing, communicating, and adopting fiscally responsible budgets that provide our students with a strong educational program.

Innovative, Supportive, and Effective Administration
Foster a respectful and collaborative working environment that supports teaching and learning and provides purposeful professional development and sustained support for administration, faculty, and staff.

Strengthen the operational efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance of District operational and support departments, including: Administration, Business, Facilities, IT,  Athletics, and Transportation, through the establishment of formal policies and procedures, auditable business processes, and the use of technology and operational best practices.

Community Involvement and Communication
Build trust with district stakeholders in supporting and celebrating the success of our students and our school through open, ongoing, and proactive communication.

Establish ways to continuously engage stakeholders, including: students, parents, teachers, administrators, staff, and the community.
